Yuuki glanced back at Hoshi and smiled again, blushing a bit from sheer surprise at how the girl was treating her. She seemed to be opening up more and that was great, so Yuuki grinned, already looking forward to the study sessions they would have. She seemed to be listening to everything, and even remembered the name she just called Hayabusa. Normally people would have to ask again or laugh and roll their eyes but not her. Yuuki could already tell they had a lot in common.
She had to look away again when Hoshi spoke up softly, but not before she glanced into her warm brown eyes. She laughed again at the mention of her smile and then looked up, smiling brightly because of it. “You have a nice smile too, its very warm and gentle, Hoshi-san.” The compliments were very flattering and Yuuki had to do her best to not flail in nervousness at them though on the inside, she wanted to. “Dreams..huh? I never thought about that..but being happy always helps especially if you have dreams right?” What an odd but sweet concept. She stopped in front of the library and smiled, turning back to Hoshi as she held her satellite so carefully. “Do you have any dreams, Hoshi-san?”
A faint blush tinges Hoshi’s cheeks at the compliment returned…it would certainly not be spurned. Warm and gentle…that was a bit ironic, considering what she was….and what she could do. But…she pushed that out of her mind.
“….” she looks down at the mention of her dreams. Of course, she knew what she *had* to do. Hunt down a particular Zodiart…the one who had murdered her before, and caused her to be reborn as a freak. She would absolutely not tell Yuuki of any of that, if she could help it. instead, Hoshi lightly shuffles her feet, shrugging slightly.
“Not really.” she gave, with a warm smile from her facade. ”My future’s open, I just need to make the best of it.” At one time….she’d had a dream. But…not any more.
Yuuki watched her face as Hoshi reacted and chuckled a little, happy that she seemed just as caught off guard as she had been before. It was cute and had Yuuki smiling at her new friend for a second. When the girl finally speaks up, Yuuki steps forward and nods, thinking that she could not have said it any better. “Awww yes, that is…a very optimistic way of looking at it Hoshi-san!” She was shuffling her feet and seemed so nervous and cute and ahh mouu what was she saying??! Or thinking??! She had to say something else, say something else! “Ahh Hoshi-san..”
Yuuki walks over and takes her arm, the one cradling Hayabusa to her chest. “Everyone has a dream at some time and I am sure you will find yours, just as you will find the star that shines the brightest for you.” She smiles and steps back, smiling with a tint of a blush now. What was she saying? Why was she feeling so connected to Hoshiko? “Ahhh excuse me for a second! Gotta get some-something!” With that, Yuuki runs around the corner and squees into her hands, her face blushing red and she flails for a second before coming back a few minutes later. “Ummm so wanna tour the library next?”
Hoshiko looks up softly..regarding the girl’s reply with a slight nod. Why was she clenching up inside like this? It made her feel awkward. Then Yuuki took her arm and she couldn’t help but smile.
The star that shines brightest for me? I don’t know, about all the dream stuff. The light went out of my life in that regard….but…
She comes out of her reverie to see Yuuki step back, catching the smile and the tint of a blush. Eh? Did…was she feeling similarly? Hoshi blinks as Yuuki excuses herself, and watches her run off. Only one thought permeates the silence of her mind, as she waits.
No one else has ever shined so brightly in my life before, and it draws me to her. .. M…maybe it’s not too late, for me to find a dream. But…until I do…I will protect her dream at any cost… Because she’s worth it.
The star girl looks up to see Yuuki return, and nods softly. ”Yes please. Lead the way.”
